AURORA · COLORADO
Six organizations here list Aurora. Before arranging a tour, get the street address. Two of the centers we checked are on E 2nd Avenue and E Smoky Hill Road.
BehaviorSpan lists 14707 E 2nd Avenue, GL100, for its Aurora center. Its website gives ages 1 to 6. Behavioral Innovations lists 20971 E Smoky Hill Road, Suite 102. There is an odd detail on that second link: the web address says Centennial, but the page itself gives the Aurora address.
Copy the street address into your notes when you arrange a tour. If you are offered a place somewhere else, ask for that address as well. Try the drive at the hour you would need to arrive, with the other trips you would have to make that day in mind. A tour in the middle of the day won't answer the same question as getting there before work.
The Smoky Hill Road page gives 18 months to 10 years for ABA and under 6 for diagnostic testing. Ask what an offered appointment would be for. A testing date doesn't tell you when regular sessions could begin.
If your child is near an age limit, raise that before a visit is booked. You can ask whether the limit applies at the first enquiry or when sessions start, and what happens if a wait takes you past it. Those are answers to get from intake; we haven't assumed them from the numbers on the page.
Achieving Stars, Budding Futures, Happy Strides and Trumpet advertise home visits in this area. Their profiles link to the pages we used. Ask about your ZIP code and available hours before filling out an application.
You can save names below to come back to them. Nothing is sent when you click Save. After a call, keep your own note of who you spoke to and what they said would happen next. If you are told someone will call you back, ask when and which number to use if you haven't heard. That gives you something concrete to follow up on.
